Once the snow melts and the ice comes out of the rink, its Lacrosse season!    At the Classic Rink we are very proud of the number of summer lacrosse programs we provide, highlighted by the BEAST Lacrosse program.  BEAST is an up and coming organization headquartered at our facility and is dedicated to promoting the play of box lacrosse and developing overall lacrosse skills in the WNY area.  BEAST operates at age groups from BEAST Buddies (4U and 6U) all the way up to high school age.

In addition to BEAST, the Classic Rink is home to the Western New York Mutually Organized House Lacrosse League or WNYMOHLL.  WNYMOHLL is a house lacrosse league composed of teams from around the Buffalo area that all play at our facility.  This league gives players in the area a chance to improve their skills playing fast-paced box lacrosse.  We also offer different registration packages for WNYMOHLL including the Platinum Package that includes an additional weekly practice time, coaching clinic with Bandits Players, amongst other awesome perks.

BEAST Buddies will teach your child the very basics of the sport of lacrosse.  Our staff/coaches are trained with just this and will bring a fun and energetic attitude to practice every day.

BEAST Buddies will have three sessions to choose from (Monday, Tuesday, or Friday) starting April 18th,  19th, or 22nd to accommodate to everyone’s busy schedules.  BEAST Buddies will run each of these days (depending on which day you sign up for) and end May 30th, 31st, or June 3rd.  Each session will start at 5:15pm and run for 45 minutes.  Each child will also receive a BEAST Jersey (T-shirt).  Each session will have only 13 spots.

**Parents must stay on site during the practice and are welcome to come on the floor to participate with their child**

**NO equipment is needed for these sessions.  The Classic Rink will provide all of the lacrosse sticks and balls.  If you would rather use your own stick, feel free to do so.  Please dress your child appropriately.  Although our floor is covered and will not be exposed to rain/snow, it is open air so your child will be exposed to the temperature.**

Below are the times, dates, and price associated with each session:

BEAST Intro to Lacrosse Clinic:

BEAST Intro to Lacrosse Clinic is to introduce the player to the sport.  Over the many weeks we will be working on stick handling fundamentals, learning positions, rules, etc.  No experience is needed to participate in this clinic, but if the player is experienced at all this will help improve their skills greatly.  In the final few weeks, we will conduct culminating scrimmages to showcase the improvement of the players.

Ages: Grade 2 through Grade 7

Equipment needed: Helmet, gloves, sneakers, and a stick (Hockey and lacrosse helmets are allowed)

The Classic Rink has a very limited assortment of equipment available to borrow for practices, but it is recommended that you bring your own equipment.

BEAST Speed Lax League:

BEAST Speed Lacrosse League is a brand-new program that is made to be high speed fun competition.  Speed lacrosse will be played 3 on 3 with 1 of the defensive players being a goalie creating a man up situation for every possession.  The nets are a box lacrosse net placed on its face so only the bottom triangle of the net is up to be scored on.  The ball used is a tennis ball to greatly decrease the risk of injury.  Shot speed and fouls will be on a player judgement basis, if a situation is deemed dangerous or foul-like, that team will give up possession.

Ages: 16 and up

Equipment needed: Stick, sneakers, High Energy!  Team T-shirt is included in cost.

Sundays, starting 4/24 ending 6/5, 3-4:30PM
